Pelican Shores Inn

I don’t usually do recommendations, but we liked this location so much we’d love to see it improve. So, here’s the Good: Excellent location right by the ocean. Comfy, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Internet maxed out at 9Mbps which was sufficient to stream a movie and hold a video conference. And the Bad: Cold breakfast options only. Recommend adding standard eggs, waffles, sausage. Rooms are not soundproofed and doors slam closed loudly. Recommend installing at least insulation strips in door frames and sound proof windows on parking lot side. Neighbor’s balconies allow them to see into your bedroom unless you close everything up and shut out the beautiful ocean view and sound. This was especially concerning when one neighbor began filming the beach over our balcony’s railing, ten feet from our bed. Recommend dividers be installed extending the full depth of balcony and no-smoking placards on ledge. Had to ask desk to help stop ignorant neighbors from blowing cigarette smoke across balcony and into our room. Not staff’s fault and they were quick to act. Thanks!
